You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all you can give.
E. O. Wilson

The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds the most discoveries, is not "Eureka!" (I found it!) but "That's funny..." ~Isaac Asimov

AutoTune Put to good use (finally!).

Hey guys!  Enjoy these truly nerdy auto-tuned songs and videos.  You wouldn't remember most of these shows, but they are clips from old science shows by some of the most famous scientists on earth.  The primary guy they feature is Carl Sagan, who had a show about the Universe and Space called Cosmos.  Jane Goodall is also there, she studied chimpanzees in the Gombe.  Hopefully we'll get to talk about her a little this semester.  David Attenborough is there too, he's a personal hero of mine, and the man who was responsible for and narrated Planet Earth in it's British release.  Why they got Sigourney Weaver to narrate the US version, I'll never know.  Enjoy!

Here's another one, but this one is more about space. Still awesome though!

Hi everyone!

This is our class blog for the next few months.  I hope to be able to link to intersting videos, podcasts and other additional material through the blog that you might find interesting and informative.  I will also be posting a summary of what we did for the day so you have the option of finding it when you come back to class in case you are absent.  Visit a lot because the content will be changing frequently!
