Just for fun.

Hi Everyone!
 I know that a lot of you don't read this, and maybe I'm just writing to myself at this point, but I just came across this article on the BBC about lasers and I thought it was awesome.  Why?  Because they aren't any old laser, they're anti-pirate lasers.  That's right.  They're lasers designed to protect ships from pirates.  Sometimes, life is pretty amazing.  If you recover from the awesomeness of the laser article, you might also check this one out.  It's about butterfly sex.  It's pretty neat.  And there's a video.

    The Geneva convention favors temporary blindness and disorientation to a pirate ship full of corpses. It's more PR friendly. And more science-y!
